FROM THE EDITOR
What's New With Environment Writer

Environment Writer continues to pursue its mission – "Focusing on Journalism on Environmental & Natural Resource Issues" – in much the same way that it has since the newsletter's founding in 1989.

What's new, and beginning this month, is how often we do it.

Until now, Environment Writer has been published monthly – bimonthly in July-August and December-January editions – first as a print newsletter and, since 2002, exclusively in electronic formats.

Beginning this month, EW will be updated with new content much more frequently. In short, we're becoming a true web publication, with the greater immediacy that description promises.

We're currently exploring ways to provide a listserve version of the newsletter, EWonline. Keep an eye on our website for more details.

So, we'll be bringing you the same news, commentary and other resources for environmental journalists – they'll just be posted here much more often.
