Beth Daley has covered environment, science and space for The Boston Globe on and off for four years. A graduate of Northeastern University, she interned at the Globe and then worked for two years at the Newburyport Daily News before going overseas for a year to travel and teach English in Sri Lanka and Thailand. Daley began working as a feature suburban writer at the Globe, moving to the city desk to cover urban education in Boston and the country for four years. Soon after becoming the environment writer, she was taken off the beat to cover the 9/11 terrorist attacks, anthrax scares, and the war in Afghanistan. After working on a fishing series and covering science in the past two years, she is back on the environment - and space - beat.
