Peter Spotts

Peter Spotts reports on science and technology for The Christian Science Monitor. He writes news and feature articles on scientific developments across a wide range of fields and also reports on science policy.

Spotts has reported for The Monitor for 28 years in a variety of positions, including chief editorial writer, national news editor, special-projects editor, and Midwest correspondent.

In 2000, he completed a Knight Science Journalism Fellowship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. That same year, he was named as one of six recipients of the 2002 Science Journalism Award given by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). He graduated in journalism from the University of Miami, Florida.
