Rex Dalton is the West Coast Correspondent for Nature, covering scientific policy and research issues in the western United States, Canada and Latin America from San Diego, Ca.

Before coming to Nature five years ago, Dalton was a medical/science writer at the San Diego Union-Tribune, the main newspaper in San Diego. Dalton has a B.S. in Public Administration and an M.S. in Journalism, both from the University of Arizona.
