Robert McClure covers environmental news for the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, with special emphasis on natural-resource topics such as mining, timber and marine issues. He formerly worked for the South Florida Sun-Sentinel and United Press International. He is also the co-author of two travel books and is active in the Society of Environmental Journalists. His honors include the John B. Oakes Award for Distinguished Environmental Journalism and Best of the West. He was instrumental in the P-I winning the Wallace Stegner Award.
